You’ll need a good eyelash glue. Now there’s several different ways that eyelash glue is sold. They come in small bottles or in little tubes you can squeeze. They also come in little tubes with applicators. If you use a tube that squeezes, you can create a really fine line by squeezing it. If you’re using a bottle of eyelash glue you can use a Q-tip or toothpick to apply the glue in a really thin straight line. With the tubes of glue that have an applicators, you just use the applicator! It’s really easy.
Tools For Applying False Eyelashes
There are lots of fun and helpful tools that can help you put on false lashes. Some are sold with strings on the side – you just lay it on your lashes and then pull the strings away. You can also use tweezers to grab the lashes and apply them accurately. I just use my fingers, because it’s fairly easy. As you can see in this demonstration the false eyelashes I’m using need to be bent into shape because they aren’t curved. You always want to put the thinner side of the lash, one side will have a longer section and put the shorter section on the inner corner.
How To Apply False Eyelash Glue
I’m going to take the eyelash. This is what my applicator looks like. I’m going to create a very thin line of glue right across the top. I’m going to put the false eyelashes on top of my real lashes. You don’t want the edge of the lash to be on your eyelid. You want it to be up to your eyelid. I’ve already got mascara on my actual eyelashes. But if you’re going to use mascara put it on before applying the false eyelashes. You don’t want to put a whole bunch of sticky mascara over lashes.
The false eyelashes I’m applying are thick and you’ll see a bit of a gap here. I’ll fill that in with a pencil later. I’m going to apply the second one. Again make sure it’s along the eyelid. I’m going to take a liquid eyeliner and make a thin line across the top of the falsies so it blends in more. Now thinner lashes will blend a little bit better because they’re more sparse and its going to blend with your natural lashes better and your not going to have that really detailed line right in the corner. You may not need to use a dark eyeliner in the corners to blend the lashes in.
How To Achieve A Dramatic Look
If you want a more dramatic look, you’ll probably have to blend them in with an eyeliner. Individual eyelashes are great also. They come in little spurts. There are a few to each one and a fine tip at one end. What you would do with these is put a little dot of eyelash glue on the tip of that and then on the outer corners. Place them in between your natural lashes right up to the eyelid. Don’t position them onto of your eyelid. That’s what they look like once there on.
These are very thick and dramatic. You can always tone it down or if you’re going to a club these are great because they show up well at night. There are a lot of different things you can do. They’re very easy to put on. When you’re putting them on make sure you hold your eyes still and you just let them dry prior to blinking a lot. It feels kind of funny the first time you put them on, but once you get them on and you’re comfortable with them, it will be easy to put them on the next time and they won’t feel as funny.
